HOWLIE WOOF INC
Original Pitch by John & Rachel Cawley – December 9, 2003

BEHIND THE STORY...
Always trying to find a funny situation for animals, I came up with this idea about animal actors. I had actually written a short comic story in the 1980s about a famed dog star who has problems with an old flame. Rachel helped define some of the characters and situations. I just think the idea of animals performing can be funny. From my several meetings on this show, I seem to be alone in that thought.

And now my pitch...

HOWLIE WOOF INC
Animated TV series proposal by John & Rachel Cawley
Animal bit players aim for the big time.

Yum-Yum, an alley cat, Hoss, a Great Dane, Cayate, a cockatoo, and Lucky, an armadillo, expose the wild and wooly world of animal actors. Jack Howlie, owner of Howlie Woof, Inc, represents this quartet of critters. Though the group seems relegated to a life of TV commercials and bit parts, they each dream of starring in their series someday. Meanwhile, they have to settle for second (third?) class conditions at sets, on trips and even at guest appearances.
